Hello Friends. Happy LOVE DAY! I am a big fan of celebrating love, even if this day is filled with trashy hearts and everythin pink. Saying someone “I love you” is always much appreciated. It doesn’t have to be a husband / wife or boyfriend / girlfriend. I love giving Valentine’s Day cards to my daughters. They are also a part of my personal love story. As a scrapbooker, I pay much attention on how to wrap gifts to make them look even better. I like making matching boxes and this is what I want to share with you today. A perfect gift set – card, envelope and a little box.
I decided to use leftovers from one of my favorite collections called “Love always”. Perfect color combination of soft pink, grey and black and pretty florals. I only had few papers left, but it was enough to make a box and envelope. I used paper scraps to compose a card.
I like my 1-2-3 Punch Board, because it makes creating boxes and envelopes so fast and easy. All you need to do is to trim paper to the proper size and use the board to score the lines and punch corners. It took me five minutes to create matching envelope. Paired with a card makes a very elegant set.
1-2-3 Punch Board is also handy when it comes to making big, paper bows. I used a piece of paper to make one and decorated my envelope with it.
My matching box is big enough to carry some treats or jewelery. It didn’t need much of embellishing too. I used “Lovely things” paper to make it and some bits and pieces from ephemera pack to finish it.
Making the whole set took me about an hour. I need to make another one, for my other daughter and I am ready to meet 14’th of February. My hubby will get a kiss and some sushi plate 🙂
I hope you like my inspiration. Thank you for stopping by and see you soon in two weeks.
