Hey everyone, it’s Raquel here today and I have been bust creating with the beautiful new Happiness collection. This collection is seriously just ….wow! I love the brightness of the collection and how the colours truly pop.
For my layout today I am documenting a series of photos taken on a family getaway in Summer. I feel like summer photos and this Happiness collection just go hand in hand. The perfect compliment to each other!
Here is the layout that I created:
The main design elements of this page were the frame cut files. These cut files were a freebie from The Cut Shoppe and the perfect file to document multiple photos from an event. I printed my photos six to a page (4×6″ size photo) and these fit quite well within the set size of the frames. Once I had placed all the photos behind the frames I was able to add some foam adhesive and adhere them to the page. The foam adhesive gives a shadow to the underneath of the cut files, allowing them to be distinguished from the white background.
To embellish the page I used mainly the ephemera pack, The florals in this collection are my absolute favourite. It is hard to choose which ones to use they are all so beautiful. I chose to use the ‘good stuff’ ticket, as that was able to be tucked under the frames and still be read. I was very conscious of not over embellishing while creating this page. I really wanted the frames and photos to shine.
I used the sticker sheet tiny words to add a couple of words to the frames, ‘wild’ on the photo of my son and ‘family’ on the one with myself and my babes.
I framed the whole layout in a patterned paper and added machine stitching. I feel like framing a white based layout with a coloured patterned paper gives a real ‘finished’ look to a page.
I hope you have enjoyed my post today and have been inspired. Be sure to check out your local stockist or online stores to nab yourself some of this amazing collection.
