Hello friends. It’s time to play with another Scraplift Challange at CVS blog. Each month some of us get an assignment to scraplift fellow DT member and I must admitt I love this kind of posts. I am always inspired by all the projects girls are making and scraplifting them is so refreshing. This time I chose this amazing page by Sue Plumb:
I loved the idea of tearing the paper and adding the pictures in the rip. I decided to use the same collection as Sue – new “Happiness” line. I focused more on pink color as my photos are colorful and I needed more mono chromatic background to make them pop.
As you can see, I did a very faithful scraplift, with the same alignment of all the elements. I didn’t have three photos so I used two, longer ones instead.
I used three patterned papers from “Happiness” collection: “Expressive”, “Meadow” and “Sprinkles”. I also fussy cut the frames from “Frame of mind” paper and butterflies from “Bright & beautiful” paper. Those kind of products are always my fav because they help you easily exptend the collection even when you are low on embellishments.
Ephemera packs from Cocoa Vanilla Studio are always amazing and full of elements. Flowers are always the ones I use a lot and this layout is no exception. I adeed few watercolor flowers here and there to highlight the yellow forsythia from the photos.
I didn’t have a wide stapler to reach the middle of the layout so I replaced the staples with brads. They created such a cute texture. They also hold the edges of the teared paper well. I finished my page adding some bits and pieces from the older CVS collections, like puffy words from “Endless summer” and few chipboard stickers from “Wild at heart” collection.
That’s all for today. Thank you for stopping by and see you in May. With some of you I will meet in person in just few weeks during the Creative Escape event. I am so excited.
