Hello everyone. It’s time for my another inspiration for CVS. We are having a “scraplift another DT member” week and I was so excited about it. I love when this theme appears in our schedule because it is always so fun to see how people get inspired by others and how they can create another breathtaking project with similar idea. The layout I waned to scraplift from the moment I saw it is this beautiful page by Emma Wood:
I just love this colorful background with contrasting circles. And this is how my interpretation looks:
First “problem” was that my layouts have different size that the ones from Emma. I had a choice: create circles all over the 12*12 page or make it similar to Emma and place it on the bigger base. I chose second idea. I took the same paper “Radiant” from “More than words” collection and created similar, colorful circles. I am not sure if we both used the same technique but it’s the final result that matters.
I backed my picture with a piece of the “Noteworthy” paper. For my background I chose “Darling buds“. I was going to use the floral patter first, but after my mixed media part was ready, it all looked too busy together. So I just changed sides.
I also used chipboard title stickers to create my background. I love their chalky finish. I also used few of the hearts that are included into this set of inscriptions.
I do not do journaling in the visible parts of my page but I loved this part in Emma’s page. My solution was to add phrase stickers from accessory sticker sheet to mimic this part. I finished my page with few ephemera pieces and a flair button.
I love how this page turned out. I also have a process video for you if you want to scraplift Emma’s beautiful page too.
That’s all for today. Thank you for stopping by and see you in two weeks with another fun page.
