Hello sweet lovelies! It’s Kylie back with you today on the blog for a fun ‘Throwback Thursday’ theme, and I have created a new layout using the ‘More Than Words’ collection. Recently I found an adorable photo of my daughter from several years ago when she first started wearing glasses and thought a sweet floral theme would suit perfectly.
I loved being able to intermix spots, stripes and florals for my papers and wanted to make sure my layout had some texture and a slight ‘shabby chic’ theme too. When adding strips of distressed paper to my background, I made sure to cut them uneven. Some were wider than others and I think this helps frame the subject matter nicely.I distressed them with the edges of my scissors and also tore some extra pieces away.
I adhered my photo flat to the background but used some foam tape to add my floral clusters. This gave them a nice dimension. I also added some of the cute Heart enamel stickers to the centre of my Butterflies.
I used one of the die cuts as well as some of the typed phrase stickers to create my title and sub title. These were also added with some foam tape. The enamel shape adhesives were then used to highlight the little flower die cuts surrounding my photo.I love seeing all the layers and texture together!
I had a lot of paper off cuts left in this collection so this style of layout was a great way of using up the pieces that I had!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I hope you have enjoyed seeing my layout.
