Ulli here with you today with a new layout for you. Today we have the kick-off from our scraplift week on the Cocoa Vanilla blog. I was so happy when I saw this theme in my dates at the design team calendar. It was not difficult for me to choose a beautiful layout from a design team mate which I wanted to lift. I totally adore the designs from the amazing Emma Wood and so I´ve choose a colorful layout from her with paper rays in rainbow colors. She has made this gorgeous layout for the “All about Colors” theme last year.
And this is my take on. I hope you like it!
First I choose a photo and glued it on a little piece of white cardstock. I cut paper rays with patterned papers from many different Cocoa Vanilla collections. I used the following collections: You Rock, Free Spirit, Bohemian Dream, Endless Summer, Wild At Heart and the gorgeous new More Than Words collection. I started with the color yellow and worked from the left to the right side and ended with the color green.
I stitched over some paper stripes with my sewing machine and then I glued a ton of word stickers from the accessory sticker sheets from different collections on the lower area of the layout.
Then I added my photo on the layout and splattered some gold paint across the page. Emma has used for her layout a title which she has cut out with her Silhouette. I used the white chipboard title “Life Is Good” from the Bohemian Dream collection for it.
I decorated the rays with die cut ephemera pieces, chipboard stickers, puffy stickers and some enamel dots in the same colors as the paper stripes on the layout.
To finish off my page I stamped the date with a roller stamp on my layout and added two black enamel shapes from the You Rock collection beside my title.
I hope you like my blog post and get inspired from Emma and me to do a colorful layout too.
Till the next time, Ulli
