Hi CVS friends!
Elodie here and I have a brand new project to share with you today. I used the gorgeous Midnight collection and made a set of Christmas cards. I love the soft and dreamy look the beautiful Midnight colors give them!
I started by making the base of my cards using papers from the 6×8 paper pad that I folded in half to get 6×4 cards. So easy and handy! I then cut rectangles in more 6×8 papers and placed them on the top of my cards.
To give them a wintery look, I decided to use snowflakes and punched a lot of them in several papers from the 6×8 paper pad. I then layered my paper snowflakes at the top of one of the cards and at the bottom of the other one. I adhered some of them with foam squares and bent them up a bit for dimension.
For the sentiments, I used pretty die cut titles that I placed on the snowflakes. Here again, I adhered them with foam squares to make them pop. I added a few more snowflakes on each card and then moved on to embellishing.
I topped some snowflakes with accessory stickers and cute chipboard hearts and I added a clear sticker on the “Happy” card for extra detail. I also had to include Midnight florals on my cards and tucked beautiful flowers and leaves from the ephemera pack under the sentiments. Last but not least, I added a bit of sparkle and shine to my Christmas cards with a few white and blue sequins from my stash.
I can’t get enough of the beautiful Midnight collection! It’s perfect to create soft and delicate projects. I hope you are inspired to use it on your Christmas cards and layouts!
Thanks so much for stopping by the CVS blog today! Have a lovely day!
