Hey everyone, its Raquel here with you today sharing my latest layout using the new Boys Rule collection. I have not created for a few weeks and was surprised when I began creating this layout how quickly it fell into place.
Here is the layout that I created:
The subject of this layout is my son and our fave little man and Godson Bryce. He is just the cutest and my kids are quite obsessed with him. On this particular day we were out at a cafe catching up and I packed the sometimes ‘sanity saver’ = iPad for my son. He sat beautifully while my bestie and I caught up and showed Bryce some of the fun apps on the iPad.
I wanted to feature the photo of my son smiling so I matted that in the ‘Straight and Narrow’ patterned paper. It brings a lovely pop of green to the page.To also highlight that photo I used a square frame from the chipboard pack. The arrows I have added to the page serve as a directional tool to draw your attention to certain elements on the page and direct the flow of your eyes too.
I feel like a bit of a broken record when I say how much I love this collection and the embellishments. I added a small cluster of stars and a cross to the top right of the page.
The title has a couple of parts, the ‘fun times’ clear sticker is the main element, however the ‘oh boy’ sticker is key to telling the story of these photos too. Which you can see when you view the close up of the journaling. I also added another cluster of embellishments to the right of the title, including more stars and a cross and this time a flair button too.
Of course I have added journaling to the page with my typewriter in strip form.
The whole layout is framed in the multi pattern ‘Fun and Games’ patterned paper. I love that it adds a lovely assortment of patterns and colours to the page and ties all the embellishments and their colours in beautifully.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope you have been inspired by my layout!
