Hey everyone, it’s Raquel here with you today sharing a new layout that I have created using the Midnight collection. I decided today to document a special moment for my little girl; when she got her ears pierced for her sixth birthday. She decided that she wanted to get them done as part of her present and was so brave. Poor Bub had real tears after it happened and was a little precious for some time after. However, nothing that a drink and ice cream didn’t fix.
Here is the layout that I created:
I have a process video for this layout to share with you today, I hope you like it.
I chose to document two photos today, one where they were getting ready to pierce her ears, and the second after she had it done and it eating ice cream.
The layout is created based around a statement die cut title – the die cut piece is quite large so it left little choice for photo placement. I must admit that I scaled the title to this size as I already had an idea of how I wanted to arrange the photos and embellish. I added small clusters to either side of the photos. I also repeated the elements of hearts on the layout as the cut file itself contained them.
I had minimal room so I kept the journaling short and sweet and to the point.
To give the title some dimension one of my fave things to do with cut files is adhere them with a foam adhesive. I love the shadow they bring.
Thanks so much for popping by the CVS blog today. I hope that this layout has inspired you.
