A collection of soft delicate pastels that have something for boy or girl is what the More Than Words is all about and is a must for your scrapping must haves list.

Over the next few layouts I share for Cocoa Vanilla Studio I am going to show you why this collection is suited for all the family. Young, old, boy, girl this collection has some for everyone.

Today I am sharing with you a layout of my precious little girl surrounded by majority of the More Than Words collection.

This layout has been put together using some simple layering techniques. I used the 6×6 paper and a punch to make some strips and adhered them into a colour order that I thought looked nice. I then backed my photo using a piece of vellum and adhered it down. I was tempted to use some foam mounting tape here but I am trying to use let foam to hopefully fit more layouts into my albums.

I then selected some beautiful chipboard elements to make up the title and pulled apart the ephemera pack to build my cluster elements of flowers and tags and butterflies. This was hard as there was so many beautiful elements.

Isn’t that chipboard heart and flair just perfect.

This collection is full of adorable pieces. Have you haven’t had a chance to see it all click HERE

I’m next on the blog on the 29th and it’s then that I will share with you how this collection is perfect for our boys.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Happy birthday to you | Make A Wish | Lauren Hender

By | 2018-01-16T08:09:27+00:00 January 2nd, 2018|Bohemian Dream, Make A Wish|

Hello everyone!

Welcome everyone to 2018. I hope the year ahead is wonderful for each of you.

Have you made any resolutions? Crafty ones? Personal ones?

To tell you the truth the last two years I completely skipped this step. After a bad run of a few years not achieving all that I hoped I decided it was not worth doing.

But I have been thinking and what I came up with was to have some small achievable crafty goals that are easy for me to achieve.

I have come up with..

1.       Every layout I create goes straight into an album and not in a pile on the floor.

2.       Complete a goals board

3.       Post a minimum of 26 You Tube process videos.

Probably not a good start that I didn’t create a process video for this layout but I have to say I actually made this in 2017 so it doesn’t really count. Lol

This layout is a 6×12 inch layout featuring the beautiful Make A Wish collection.

When I snapped this picture of my little girl on her 8th birthday I knew that colours would perfectly match this collection.

I started this layout with cutting my cardstock pieces and a vase of flowers cut file.

I started to back the cut file and after a short time my patience got the best of me and I grabbed the cutest pink doily knew that it may just do the job of filling in the back of the cut file and make it pop.

I then mounted my photo and pulled out ephemera and the sticker sheet from the Bohemian Dream collection and added some cluster elements and a title piece. Check out the flair button. Could it be anymore cuter?

Thanks for stopping by the blog.

I wish you all the best for 2018 and hope that all your resolutions come to light.

Hello Everyone and a big welcome back to the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog.

This in turn we hope inspires you.

It’s a busy time of year so hopefully by seeing all these beautiful layout will put a smile on your face and let you take a five minute breather from this pace.

First up I want to share a layout created by the beautiful and crazy talented Raquel Bowman.

Raquel uses the super cool collection YOU ROCK to create this fabulous layout.

Secondly, I want to share an out of this world layout by Missy Whidden.

She has used the Summer Freebie Cutfile

to be a big featured title and added the beautiful hand stitching to complete it.

Missy has a fabulous way of using watercolour and in this layout she has perfectly matched it to the Make A Wish collection.

Isn’t this layout divine!

And lastly,  I want to share with you a stunning layout by the talented Bea Valint.

Bea has smashed it out of the park using the Bohemian Dream collection.

Check out the gorgeous cluster of flowers from the ephemera pack.. gasp! Stunning..

Wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas.

See you in 2018 with some more Cocoa Vanilla Studio inspiration.

Happy Christmas | Bohemian Dream | Lauren Hender

By | 2017-12-08T00:09:36+00:00 December 8th, 2017|Bohemian Dream|

Hello everyone and a big welcome back to our Christmas week here on the blog.

What do you think of the Christmas layouts using non Christmas themed collections? I have enjoyed seeing that regardless of the traditional Christmas colours not being used you can create easily a beautiful Christmas layout. This is great as Christmas can be an expensive time and sometimes our financial sacrifices are scrapbooking supplies, so this way you know that if you have to give the latest Christmas scrapbook collection a miss you can still create some fabulous Christmas layouts.

I have used a Christmas wreath cut file to give a bit of a Christmas feel and brought it together using the beautiful Bohemian Dream collection. This layout highlights a special 2016 moment where my little dolly popped the star on top of the Christmas tree.

You can find the Bohemian Dream collection in the Cocoa Vanilla Studio online and is available to purchase right now!! Just click HERE

Another fun part about this layout is that I created a YouTube process video of the layout as part of an Aussie Scrappers YouTube Hop. Check out my process video below which will explain how the hop works and how to win some lovely scrappy prizes including a Cocoa Vanilla Studio prize pack.

The Bohemian Dream collection is just beautiful and has so many fabulous elements. In this layout I have used the following:

Ábundant’ patterned paper

Accessory Stickers

6×6 paper pad

Die Cut Ephemera

Flair Buttons

Chipboard Stickers

Remember if they are out of stock in the Cocoa Vanilla Studio store then one of the stockist can help you out.

I hope my layout has inspired you to get creative at this bust time of the year. Oh and don’t forget to come along and join in the YouTube hop for a chance to win yourself some Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

Hello Everyone and a big welcome back to the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog.

How are you enjoying PINK or BLUE week? If your just stopping in for the first time this week the DT girls are all having fun showing what you can do with the new Bohemian Dream collection in the colours pink or blue.

I have chosen to play along and have chosen the colour blue to drive my layout. I think what this week has shown us so far that either pink or blue can create stunning and beautiful gender mixed layouts and that my lovely scrapper means that Bohemian Dream is one pretty cool collection.

Click HERE to shop the new Bohemian Dream collection.

In this layout I have used a cut file to be my main feature. This cut file works particularly well with the colour combination featured in this collection. It magically brings together colours that traditionally you would think wouldn’t work together and transforms the layout into something beautiful.

Another fabulous product in this collection is the vellum accents.Oh gosh, they are just lovely and give a lovely effect slightly different from the traditional ephemera pieces. Don’t get me wrong the die cut ephemera is amazing also.

See what I mean! Look at that vellum flower cluster.. so pretty!!

So can you see where I have used blue? Background, in my cut file, backing my photo and in my vellum flower cluster.

So tell me.. are you a pink scrapper or a blue scrapper at heart?

Another fun product in this collection I love is the flair buttons . CVS flairs are always amazing and create a little something special on you layout. In this collection you can purchase the buttons in a set of six.

Love Love Love them!!

Check out my process video below and see how this colourful layout came together.

I hope my layout has inspired you to get out scrapping supplies and create a pink or blue layout.

Happy Scrapping,

Lauren xo

Giselle | Bohemian Dream | Lauren Hender

By | 2017-10-31T11:05:39+00:00 November 2nd, 2017|Bohemian Dream, Design Team, Inspiration|

Hello Everyone.

Welcome back to the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog.

Today I am sharing with you a beautiful layout of my daughter using the new release Bohemian Dream collection.

This photo highlights a special 1st in my little Katie’s life. Katie saw a beautiful performance by the Australian Ballet Company telling the story of Giselle. It was so lovely to watch her facial expressions throughout the performance. All the dancers were exquisite and quite literally took my breath away.

When putting this layout together I really wanted to capture some of the magic and feel of the night in the layout.

The Bohemian Dream collection was able to help me do that with it’s beautiful soft colours and the incorporation of butterflies, flowers and leaves.

In this layout I have used the 6×6 inch paper pad, 12×12 patterned paper, the ephemera pack, accessory stickers, enamel shapes and a stunning flair.

All these items are no in the Cocoa Vanilla Studio store for you to purchase directly or from your local retailer.

I really love the 6×6 inch paper pad.

In this layout I have used it to double mount my photo and to make cute stitched scollop features on my layout. By using the 6×6 paper pad I not only have the entire collection but when I make a little feature I am not cutting into a 12×12 inch piece of paper.

The other sweet piece in this collection that I adore and can’t get enough of is the enamel shapes. Did you check out those cute tiny hearts? Well that’s them. I believe they are like the cherry on top of the cake. The final piece that makes it all come together.

I hope you have enjoyed my layout today and it has inspired you to run to your crafty space.

Catch you again soon.

Born to Shine | Bohemian Dream | Lauren Hender

By | 2017-10-14T11:56:49+00:00 October 16th, 2017|Bohemian Dream|

Hello Everyone

Welcome back to the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog

Today I am sharing with you a beautiful layout of my little dancing dolly using the new release collection Bohemian Dream.

This collection is just stunning with it’s beautiful pastel colours predominately featuring a stunning purple.

In this layout I have used lots of the beautiful new products.

This included chipboard titles, 6×6 inch pad, cardstock, stamps, die cut ephemera, accessory stickers and enamel shapes.

Have you picked your favourite product in the collection or are you like me and need to have it all?

I have a treat for you today. I have created a process video for this layout.

I am really new to the process video thing but I am enjoying learning and being creative with video editing.

This layout came together beginning with the background of watercolour. I just love using watercolours to help build a unique one of a kind background.

I then layered up my photo with a piece from the 6×6 paper pad and some tissue paper.

I then wanted to add a block of pattered cardstock so that I would have an area to feature my title.

The fun did not stop there.. I then added all the little features to make it come together. This included a little touch of stamping, some flower clusters and some simple but stunning fussy cut butterflies.

Oh .. and my favourite the tiny enamel shape heart. Oh they are just the cutest an add the perfect fishing touch onto the layout.

I hope my layout has inspired you to get creative and head to your local supplier for the new Bohemian Dream collection.
