Happy Saturday, friends!

It’s Elodie on the blog today with a brand new layout to share with you. I played with the gorgeous More than Words collection and a sweet photo of my oldest daughter with her dad and our Frenchie back when she was a few months old. Here is my page!

Did I mention that I’m in love with the More than Words soft colors?! I just had to use the beautiful Radiant paper for my background. I simply adore those pastel strips and that paint effect. So pretty!

To keep the focus on my precious pic, I went with a simple design and decided to make a cluster at the bottom of the page. I also used a black and white filter on my photo to make it pop against the colorful background.

I started by placing a frame from the ephemera pack on the bottom left-hand corner of the page. I matted the photo with a paper from the 6×6 pad and adhered it on the frame using foam squares for dimension.

For the title, I used some of the awesome chipboard words that I topped with a cute flair button. I then added more beautiful More than Words embellies to my photo cluster: vellum accents, die cuts and a tab sticker from the accessory sticker sheet. I put the final touch to my sweet page with a couple of enamel dots and chipboard hearts.

I didn’t feel like adding anything more to my layout. I like its simplicity and how the pretty More than Words colors make my photo shine!

I love everything about this collection and I hope this page inspires you to have fun with it! Thank you for visiting the blog today! Wishing you a beautiful day and a great weekend!

Love Cards | More than Words | Elodie Lusseau

By | 2018-02-02T21:20:49+00:00 February 3rd, 2018|Design Team, Inspiration, More Than Words|

Hi friends!

It’s Elodie on the blog today and I’m excited to share my first project using the gorgeous More than Words collection! With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I decided to make a set of love cards. The More than Words line is just perfect for Valentine’s Day projects with its soft colors and romantic patterns. Here are my cards!

For the base, I used papers from the awesome 6×6 pad that I folded in half. So handy and easy!

I topped the base with rectangles that I cut in more 6×6 papers and moved on to the embellishing part. For the sentiments, I used one of the lovely chipboard words, cute flair buttons and a couple of word stickers from the accessory sticker sheet. The chipboard titles and the flair buttons are really great to add dimension to any projects!

More than Words is packed with gorgeous embellies and I had a lot to choose from to adorn the top of my cards! Here, I used a couple of chipboard stickers, die cuts from the ephemera pack and pretty vellum accents. I love the soft and delicate touch these vellum pieces bring!

To give even more dimension to my cards, I adhered some items with foam squares and folded up the butterflies to make them pop. I finished my cards by adding cute enamel shapes here and there!

The More than Words patterns and pastel colors have me swooning! It’s all so beautiful! I hope these cards inspire you to get your hands on this stunning collection! Thank you so much for joining me today! Have a lovely day!

You Have My Heart | Bohemian Dream | Elodie Lusseau

By | 2018-01-09T08:16:19+00:00 January 17th, 2018|Bohemian Dream, Design Team, Inspiration|

Hi scrappy peeps!

Elodie here today with a new page to share with you! I went with blue for this layout using the beautiful Bohemian Dream collection and a photo of me and my sweet girls snapped in Barcelona a couple of years ago. Here is my page!

I love the blue tones in the Bohemian Dream collection. Gorgeous, right?! For my background, I picked the Abundant paper, with its pretty navy blue color, and placed a strip from the Flower Child sheet in the center of the page.

I wanted to keep my layout simple and I decided to make two clusters – one at at the top of the page and another one at the bottom.  I started with my top cluster and tucked a lovely tag from the ephemera pack under the  strip. Then I added beautiful Bohemian Dream embellies all around it: more die cuts from the ephemera pack, a label on which I stamped the date, a chipboard heart and a flower from the vellum accent pack.

For my bottom cluster, I layered the photo on a doily and I adorned it with a frame, die cuts, a pretty vellum flower, a cute flair button and word stickers from the accessory sticker sheet. I really like how the frame draws the eye to the picture!

I love adding dimension to my layouts. Here, I adhered some items with foam squares and I folded up the edges of several embellies to make them pop.  I also sprinkled my page with pretty enamel shapes and I put the finishing touch with droplets of black ink.

I love creating with this gorgeous line and I hope my page inspires you to play with it too! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a beautiful day!

Dream Big | Bohemian Dream | Elodie Lusseau

By | 2018-01-09T00:12:45+00:00 January 3rd, 2018|Bohemian Dream, Design Team, Inspiration|

Hi friends!

First of all, I wish you a Happy New Year and all the best for 2018! I’m so happy to be back with you today to share my first CVS project of the year! I played with the stunning Bohemian Dream collection and a photo of my little one snapped last summer in Ireland. I can’t get enough of this beautiful line, its pretty colors and patterns! Here is my page!

I’m a big fan of patterned papers and I love using them for my backgrounds. Here, I picked the Kaleidoscope paper and its lovely gray wood grain.

Then I cut a strip in the Abstract paper and I placed it at the top of the page, along with the photo and a couple of frames from the ephemera pack. How pretty is this mandala pattern?!

Next came the embellishing part! Have I ever mentioned that I love using flowers on my scrappy projects?! And CVS flowers are always so beautiful! Here, I used flowers and leaves from the ephemera and vellum accent packs. I also added pretty butterflies, banners and a cute flair button.

I tucked a doily and a tab sticker from the accessory sticker sheet under the photo. I also stamped the date on another die cut and added it to my cluster at the top of the page, along with a journaling strip.

I placed chipboard stickers at the bottom of the page for the title and finisihed my layout by adding shiny enamel shapes. These are the perfect finishing touch for any projects!

I love everything about this gorgeous collection. I hope my page inspires you to play with it! Thank you so much for joining me today! Wishing you a wonderful day!

My Favourites | Elodie Lusseau

By | 2017-12-08T07:26:08+00:00 December 17th, 2017|Design Team, Hello Lovely, Inspiration, Wild at Heart, You ROCK|

Hello everyone!

It’s Elodie with you today for my last post of the year. I had so much fun playing with the amazing CVS collections that came out this year but also with some of the beautiful older lines! Here are a couple of my favourite layouts from 2017!

Shine Bright

I love creating scenes on my layouts! Here, I made a big sun using a large photo of my youngest daughter on the beach along with pretty Hello Lovely papers and embellies. This page is just as happy and bright as my little miss sunshine!

Captured

I really enjoyed making girly layouts with the You Rock collection! For this page, I made tags with You Rock papers and washi stickers, I placed them on each side of my sweet photo and I adorned them with awesome embellies from the range. I also made ornaments hanging down from the pic with fussy cut stars and a bit of stitching. I love how soft this page looks!

Follow Your Dreams

For this layout, I used the gorgeous Wild at Heart collection along with a photo of my girls playing on the beach. I made a big butterfly on my page using pretty fussy cut butterflies and shiny enamel dots for the wings. I placed the pic and beautiful Wild at Heart embellies in the center of the page to create the body of my butterfly. So dreamy!

Thanks so much for visiting the blog today! Happy holidays to you all!

Lovely Elves | Bohemian Dream | Elodie Lusseau

By | 2017-11-21T03:51:52+00:00 December 3rd, 2017|Bohemian Dream, Design Team, Inspiration|

Happy Sunday, friends!

Elodie here today and I’m excited to be back to share my latest CVS layout with you! We’re getting in the mood for Christmas over here and we’ll be sharing some Christmas inspiration using non-Christmas supplies over the next few days. For my page, I used the gorgeous Bohemian Dream collection and a sweet photo of my two elves a few years back.

To go with the Christmas theme, I decided to create tree ornaments on my page. I started by drawing and cutting circles to make my Christmas decorations: a big one in the colorful Beautiful Mess sheet and three little ones in several papers from the Bohemian Dream 6×6 pad.

I stitched the edges of the big circle with white thread and placed them all on the Wild & Free paper that I picked for the background. To make my tree ornaments look like they’re hanging down, I drew vertical lines on the background paper and pierced them with a pin. After erasing the pencil marks, I handstitched them using white thread.

I sticked a circle at the bottom of each line using just a tiny bit of glue and folding up the edges a bit to make them pop. I also added the photo on the big circle with foam squares. I really like the contrast between the black and white pic and the pretty Bohemian Dream colors!

Next came the fun part: embellishing! I drew stars in several 6×6 papers, using You Rock wood veneer stars as templates, and cut them with my craft scissors. Then I placed them on the edges of the big ornament, along with more lovely Bohemian Dream embellies: beautiful florals from the vellum accent pack and the ephemera pack, word stickers from the accessory sticker sheet and cute enamel hearts.

I adorned the photo with die cuts and a tab sticker and I tucked a frame from the ephemera pack under it. I then embellished the other circles with die cuts, vellum accents, enamel hearts, a flair button and a sticker on which I stamped the ‘little moments’ sentiment from the stamp set. I also topped my Christmas decorations with die cuts and enamel dots. I finished off my Christmas scene by adding a Bohemian Dream chipboard word and Hello Lovely alpha stickers for the title, chipboard flourishes at the bottom of the page and shiny Make A Wish sequins on the stitched lines.

I had a lot of fun making this Christmas page using Bohemian Dream and I hope it inspires you to use this beautiful collection on your Christmas projects too! Thanks so much for joining me today! Have a fantastic day!

Love This Life | Bohemian Dream | Elodie Lusseau

By | 2017-11-13T23:34:50+00:00 November 17th, 2017|Bohemian Dream, Design Team, Inspiration|

Hi friends!

Elodie here today with a brand new layout to share with you! This week, we’re focusing on pink and blue with projects showcasing one of these colors. For my page, I went with pink using the beautiful Bohemian Dream collection and a photo of my girls snapped during our trip around Ireland last August. Here is my pretty in pink layout!

I started by going through my Bohemian Dream stash and picked pink papers and embellies that I could use on my page. For the background, I went with the Boho Bits and Dreamer papers. I cut a strip in the Boho Bits sheet and placed it at the top of the beautiful Dreamer paper, covering the purple part to focus on the pink.

I wanted to go for a simple design, with a lot of white – or actually pink – space and I decided to create a cluster at the top of the page where the two background papers meet.

I went with black and white for the photo to keep the focus on pink. I adhered it at the top of the page with foam squares. I love how it stands out against the pink background!

For the title, I used chipboard words that I spiced up with the ‘love’ sentiment from the Bohemian Dream stamp set and cute enamel hearts. I layered them on die cuts and on a lovely flower from the vellum accent pack.

Next, I tucked a tab sticker, a frame from the ephemera pack and pretty cardstock and vellum flowers under the pic. I also added chipboard stickers, beautiful vellum butterflies, a couple of word stickers, a banner from the ephemera pack as well as pretty flourishes from the chipboard title sticker sheet and my page was complete!

I loved putting this layout together using my favorite color and I really like how the black and white items pop against the gorgeous Bohemian Dream pink tones! I hope this page inspires you to give monochromatic projects a try and have fun with CVS supplies! Thank you for visiting the blog today! Wishing you a lovely day and a great weekend ahead!
