About Bea Valint

Bea hails from Hungary, a little country in middle Europe…where they have pretty hot summers, spicy foods, and a difficult history. Formerly an economist, she is now a stay-at-home-working-mum to 4 adorable kids - three sporty boys and a 6 year old girl, Kitti. Bea has always been a creative person. She never stops making home decorations, papercrafts and DIY projects. Bea says happiness ebbs and flows through our lives; and she wants to document all the unforgettable moments of joy so that she can relive those precious moments from time to time. When it comes to scrapbooking, Bea started off learning photography and creating Project Life albums for her family, and finally fell in love with creating layouts in early 2012. Bea says what she loves most about scrapbooking is "the freedom to express myself. And making mini books or scrapbook pages is also really fun, don't you think?" She says her craft room is always open. She creates things together with her kids, and sometimes with friends, but never with her husband...he just enjoys the results.

Hi Ladies! I’m back to the Cocoa Vanilla Blog to share a new layout using the gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla Bohemian Dream collection. I can’t get enough of these pretty line. I rarely use watercolor on my pages, but this time I got my inspiration from a fellow DT member, Anna Komenda’s new scrapbooking class at Big Picture Classes. I loved her layering technique with mixed media background, and I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something new!

I started my layout by painting a soft background using watercolor. I arranged my photo to the center of the page and started to layering bits and pieces from the collection.

I trimmed paper stripes from different patterned paper and placed them behind my photo vertically. This collection contains pretty paper frames, I used two of them and adhered them next to my photo. On the left side of the page, I created a cluster using ephemera pieces, cardstock stickers, and stickers. Can’t resist adding one of the lovely enamel hearts too.

I decided to create a cluster on the top left of the layout using some ephemera pieces.

For adding a title, I mixed and matched cardstock letters with ephemera pieces and label stickers.

This was a lot of fun to create! Thanks for stopping by today, I hope this layout has inspired you to make something pretty with your Cocoa Vanilla Studio goodies!

Live Out Load | Bohemian Dream | Bea Valint

Hi CVS fans! It’s Bea here today sharing a new layout using the gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla Bohemian Dream collection. I couldn’t get enough of the beautiful colors, so I decided to use ALL of them on my layout.

I started by choosing a pretty cut file and cut it out from white cardstock using my Cameo. I stitched along the vertical lines and backed the shapes using my 6×6 paper pad. I love how the heart turned out, the colors make me so happy!

I highlighted my photo using an ephemera frame and placed them to the bottom right of the heart. I used thread to make the frame more colorful. For embellishing I used stickers and some ephemera pieces and arranged all the pretties around the photo.

For adding more interest, I created a cluster using cardstock stickers and ephemera pieces to the top left of the page.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope this layout has inspired you to make something pretty with your Cocoa Vanilla Studio stuff!

Best of 2017 | Bea Valint

By | 2017-12-23T08:00:55+00:00 December 23rd, 2017|Bohemian Dream, Cut Files, Love Always, Wild at Heart, You ROCK|

Are you ready for 2018? It’s almost here, and we have throwback weeks to share some of our favorite layouts of 2017. To be honest it was so hard to choose because most of the layouts I created using the beautiful Cocoa Vanilla Collections have my heart! I ended up by choosing four layouts, one from each collection I used this year. We started the year with the gorgeous Wild at Heart collection, and I documented a sweet summer photo of my little daughter. I adhered some patterned paper strips behind the photo and created a vertical embellishment cluster. Love how the paper strips reflect the colors of the photo.

I used the super cool and fun You Rock collection for my second layout. As a mother of three boys, it’s the perfect collection to document our everyday life.

I combined the soft and gorgeous Love Always collection with You Rock patterned paper for creating my next layout.  I love the clean and simple design with the Cocoa Vanilla die cut flowers.

Let’s check my last layout! It’s so easy to create colorful and bright layouts with the new Bohemian Dream collection! I used the cut-apart sheet for creating this layout, I just had to add some ephemera pieces and stickers! Just love how this layout turned out!

I hope you like my Top Four Layouts! Happy Holiday! Bea

Merry and bright | Love Always | Bea Valint

By | 2017-12-08T06:45:14+00:00 December 9th, 2017|Love Always, You ROCK|

Hey everyone, its BEA here with you today! I have a lot of Christmas themed layouts to document our Family memories but this time I decided to document my feelings about Christmas night. In my country, we celebrate Christmas on 24th of December, and I think that day is one of the busiest days of the year. We start with decorating the Christmas tree, then clean the house, cook the lunch and the Christmas dinner, greet the guests, visit the church etc… and I would like to do all of these with a big smile on my face and preserve the special festive mood of the day. My favorite part of the day when I’m finally done with everything, put my pretty dress on, and join my family to celebrate Christmas Eve!

I began my scrapbooking process with selecting my materials, choosing a color palette I loved, patterned papers that I couldn’t wait to incorporate. For this layout, I mixed and matched Love Always collection pink pattern papers with some red, fussy cut You rock stars and white die cut snowflakes.  I cut the huge  ‘Merry’ word using my Cameo. For adding more contrast to the word, I offset the shape in the Silhouette program, cut the outline from darker pink paper, and layered behind the white word.

I layered some die cut snowflakes with the red stars diagonally on my page. I created a cluster using Love Always ephemera pieces and stickers on the left bottom of the page and added my handwritten journaling to a white tag.

I placed my photo to the right side of the title, layered a doily behind and embellished with stickers.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope I could inspire you to create Christmas themed layout using your Cocoa Vanilla Studio collections! Bea

You have my heart | Bohemian Dream | Bea Valint

By | 2017-11-20T19:41:31+00:00 November 23rd, 2017|Bohemian Dream|

Hey everyone, BEA here on the blog today sharing a new layout using the gorgeous Bohemian Dream collection.  This time  I decided to go against my natural lean towards patterned papers and create a clean and simple layout using white cardstock as my background.

Here is the layout that I created:

I documented a lovely photo of my daughter and niece. I’m so grateful to these beautiful young ladies, who always help and encourage each other in the family. I started with creating the watercolor effects on the background using pink and gold mist from my stash.  For adding more interest to the background, I stamped tiny pink and yellow sentiments with the Bohemian Dream Stamp Set.

I’m obsessed with all of the awesome flower die cuts of this collection and decided to create a little heart of flowers. For adding more texture I stitched on the flowers’ leaves using white thread.

I chose the ‘You have my heart’ ephemera piece as my title and adhered with foam tape next to my photo. I also added some cardstock stickers, flair button and pretty enamel shapes to my page.  In the end, I scattered some tiny sequences around the heart and finished my layout with writing my journaling to the bottom of the page.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope this layout has inspired you to try something new with your Cocoa Vanilla Studio stuff!

Geometric background | Bohemian Dream | Bea Valint

By | 2017-11-09T20:03:33+00:00 November 9th, 2017|Bohemian Dream|

Hey everyone, BEA here on the blog today sharing a new layout using the gorgeous Bohemian Dream collection. The subject of my layout is my little girl, who is a big candy-fun! She is the happiest girl in the World around Halloween time…  I loved her happy face and how the purple and blue were the perfect pairing to the Bohemian Dream collection.

My idea was to create a fun background using only 6×6 papers. This geometrical design is really easy to put together. To begin, I cut some rhombus shapes from 6×6 pattern papers and adhered them to a white cardstock next to each other. I bent up the edges of the papers for more dimension. Next, I backed the photo with dark blue paper and positioned towards the middle of the layout, but a little bit slanted to provide an interesting look.

Then I added some stickers and cardstock stickers to the paper pieces, using mostly the ‘tone on tone’ technique. Due to the busy background, I left white the ‘life is good’ chipboard title.

I dropped black watercolor around the layout to finish. I love how the colors pop on the white background.

This was it for today! I hope you like my layout! Thanks for stopping by! Bea

Let’s change the World | Bohemian Dream | Bea Valint

By | 2017-10-21T05:18:26+00:00 October 23rd, 2017|Bohemian Dream|

Hello everyone! It’s BEA here with you today sharing a layout I created featuring the beautiful ephemera pack from the new Bohemian Dream collection! To be honest, I never had as many gorgeous flower ephemera pieces as I got with the Bohemian Dream collection! Like a beautiful garden in springtime! I was always attracted to colorful flowers so I was so happy when I opened my box! Each and every piece is just so beautiful.

The subject of this layout is my little girl. This pic was taken on a hot summer day last year. I love her beautiful smile and I wanted to document this precious photo of her. I began my layout with cutting in half the Gipsy Heart and the Flower Child patterned papers and adhered them to a white cardstock.  When finished, to gathered the floral embellishment pieces from my box, the ephemera pieces, the cardstock stickers, the stickers, and started to arrange the flowers to the central line of the page.

I bent up the edges of the flowers and adhered them with foam tape to add more dimension to the page. I arranged my photo to the right side of the flower cluster and adhered a nice phrase from the cut-apart-sheet on the bottom right side. I just adore the tiny purple birdy from the cardstock sticker sheet, and cannot resist to use it on my layout. I placed it over the flowers next to the photo of my little girl.

Lastly, I finished my layout with adding a couple of words from the Accessory Stickers sheet and some Enamel Shapes.  How cute are those hearts? Aren’t they the perfect finishing touch. I just love to see my daughter’s photo surrounded by beautiful colors and flowers!   ***And if you looked very carefully you would probably see a tiny ladybird on the flowers.. a real one 🙂

Thanks for popping by today! Bea
